Future Abbey Wood

Shape how your area looks, feels and works.

The Council are working to deliver further improvements in Abbey Wood that will benefit residents and businesses. Having previously supported and secured new investments and regeneration that led to the opening of the Elizabeth line and new housing and shops in Abbey Wood Village we want to hear from the local community about what they would like to see over the next decade.

The views of local people and businesses will shape an Urban Regeneration Framework (URF) for the area. This will set out a clear shared vision for how Abbey Wood should grow and improve over the next ten years.

More details about the URF are found on the Future Abbey Wood webpage.

Once the survey closes, responses will be reviewed and analysed alongside feedback from other residents, businesses and stakeholders. A summary of what we heard will be published and used to help shape the next stage of the Abbey Wood Urban Regeneration Framework.

Survey results

30 March 2026 23:00 - 13 July 2026 22:59

Thank you to everyone who participated in the survey held over February and March.

Cross-borough teams, spanning Planning, Transport, Regeneration, and Green Spaces, have held workshops to develop the Future Abbey Wood URF, and your feedback proved invaluable. More detail on the findings of this survey, the themes coming out of other engagement sessions, and future engagement sessions can be found in the images below.

This feedback has informed the development of our draft Urban Regeneration Framework (URF), containing a long-term vision for Abbey Wood through the delivery of four themes. This will be consulted on during the summer.
