Disabled Persons Parking Bay Review 2026
The Council carries out an annual review of all Disabled Persons Parking Bays (DPPB) across the Borough.
- If you have a Disabled Persons Parking Bay, and it is still required, let us know using this short form.
- If you have a Disabled Persons Parking Bay, but the bay is no longer required, do not fill in this form. Instead, please provide the address of the DPPB location to traffic@bexley.gov.uk and we can arrange for its removal.
- If you do not have a Disabled Persons Parking Bay, but would like to apply for one, visit this site.
At present there are nearly 300 bays on street, with an ever-increasing number of new applications.
Since these bays are provided to assist residents in areas where there is a high demand for on-street parking places, we would like to be informed when a bay is no longer needed, so that the bay can be removed or reallocated.
As a reminder, although bays are provided on request, they are for the use of any Blue Badge holder, providing the rules of blue badge use are followed.
The Council only provides DPPBs when:
A car is registered and left at the applicant’s address and used by the Blue Badge Holder as a driver or, where there are exceptional circumstances, as a passenger, when the application was made as a passenger.
Where this requirement ceases to be met, or if the applicant no longer has a vehicle and the bay is used for a passenger or by a family member, these bays will normally be removed.
