Join the Slade Green Neighbourhood Board
Help shape how £20 million is invested in your area
We’re looking for local people to join the Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board in Slade Green. This group will help decide how a £20 million investment from central government is used to improve the area over the next 10 years.
As a board member, you’ll be a voice for your community, helping make sure decisions reflect what local people really want and need.
Who we’re looking for
You don’t need to be an expert — we’re looking for people who care about Slade Green and want to make a difference.
It would be great if you:
- Live or work in Slade Green.
- Have ideas about how the area could be improved.
- Have been involved in local groups, activities or community projects (big or small).
- Know people locally and can help reach different voices in the community.
- Care about giving local people a say and making sure everyone is included.
- Are happy working with others like residents, businesses and the council.

What you’ll be doing
As a board member, you’ll:
- Help local people have a real say in how the £20 million is spent.
- Work with others to make Slade Green a better place to live and work.
- Support projects that boost community pride, improve local spaces, and create new opportunities.
- Be part of something that will leave a lasting impact for future generations.
What to expect
- Attending a monthly board meeting in the local area, sometimes in person and sometimes online.
- Spending a few hours a month making connections and talking to people.
- Board members will be selected in August, following an informal and friendly interview.
- You will get support to shine in this role, with guidance and training, working with a friendly and supportive group of people.
- Early work will focus on listening to the community and shaping a shared vision.
